Most pediatric OT happens in a clinic, in a 30 minute slot, with a parent in the waiting room. That model was not built for the kinds of challenges families actually deal with at home.
That's where I come in. I'm Megan Matthews, a pediatric occupational therapist with a doctoral degree and a deep focus on early childhood, regulation, and sensory development. I come to your home so I can see what life really looks like for your family, and so the skills we build together are the skills that work at the breakfast table, in the car seat, and at bedtime.
Every session, I spend dedicated time working one on one with your child to figure out what is and isn't working, then I bring you in and show you exactly what I'm doing and why. By the end of the session you leave with hands on practice, specific strategies, and the 'why' behind all of it, so what we start together keeps working between sessions.
